Derek Wilson joined DiCaro, Coppo & Popcke in April 2010.

Derek practices in civil litigation and administrative matters. Derek focuses his practice on defending health care providers in malpractice litigation, administrative peer review actions, and licensing matters.

Derek earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego in 2006. Prior to law school, Derek graduated from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, magna cum laude, with a B.S. in Political Science. Derek participated as a scholarship athlete for the school’s baseball program.

Before joining the firm, Derek worked for three years on complex securities and consumer class actions in San Diego. During law school, Derek was a law clerk at the office of the Alternate Public Defender of San Diego County.

Derek is an avid baseball fan. Also, he enjoys playing sports, camping, and traveling.
